Waiting for Spring

My mother got me a subscription to Birds and Bloom and I just have to share with everyone how much I love it. This magazine is helping me plan my hummingbird and butterfly garden for the spring and it gives me great ideas on how to attract birds to my yard. I love to watch the birds, I have several feeders around my yard. The magazine is loaded with great ideas, I just have to wait for spring to use most of them. I hope it hurries or I am going to go insane!

Another Home Improvement

No matter what there always seems to be something to improve around the house. Up until now the improvements have been pretty simple and easy to accomplish. But this time Jim and I decided it was time to challenge ourselves. We wanted a new handrail for our stairs. This is something neither of us had done before, so we had to really think it out. The old handrail was a metal one piece thingy that looked liked it belonged on an outdoor porch, I wasn't meant to be inside a house. So we opted for something a little more homier, an actual wooden handrail. We think it turned out pretty nice. What do you think?
